Dr. Evan Schiff

Dr. Evan Schiff is from Trumbull, Connecticut and received his undergraduate at Brown University in 1997 where he graduated with honors. He attended the University of Connecticut Medical School where he was awarded honors in clinical internal medicine in 2002.

With a faculty appointment and as a clinical fellow in medicine at Harvard Medical School, he completed his residency at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he was awarded the senior resident David Frommer Award.

Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he has been practicing primary care medicine in Connecticut since 2005. He is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Medicine at UConn. A member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians, Dr. Schiff is also a local member of the Connecticut State Medical Society and the Hartford County Medical Association. Dr. Schiff is listed on the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners as part of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. He sees adult patients for all general health issues and has interests in obesity, high blood pressure, asthma, cholesterol and diabetes. Dr. Schiff is an avid runner and piano player. He lives with his two children and his wife who is a pediatrician.

Dr. Helena Grabo grew up in Westport, Connecticut and received her undergraduate from Hamilton College with a major in Chemistry. She graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 2011, where she was awarded for excellence in Internal Medicine. She completed her internship and residency training at the Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program in 2014. She then went on to join the faculty of the Yale-Waterbury Internal Medicine Residency Program in Waterbury, CT.
 
Dr. Grabo is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and sees adult patients for all general health issues including but not limited to high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, musculoskeletal complaints, asthma.
 
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, cooking, gardening and enjoying the outdoors

John C. Rossignol, P.A. is a graduate of Quinnipiac College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Allied Health. He then attended Southern Connecticut State University, working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant while receiving a Master’s Degree in Human Performance/Exercise Physiology.

John received his medical training as a Physician Assistant at Yale University. He has worked in Family Practice and Cardiology prior to joining our office in July, 2000. John lives in Simsbury with his wife and two children.

Kelley L. Lawton, P.A. is a graduate of Boston University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Physiology. She furthered her education at Saint Joseph University for her Master of Science in Healthcare Management and then went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences with a Master of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
 
Kelley also has years of experience working in Cardiology in New York State. She is certified with the National Academy of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Kelley has been a Physician Assistant in our office since January 2013.
 
She lives in Granby with her husband and two children and enjoys skiing, running, biking and fishing.

Valerie Wu, P.A.

Valerie Wu, PA-C, has been a Physician Assistant in internal medicine since 2020. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Northeastern University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2017, and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies with Honors from University of North Texas Health Science Center in 2020, graduating in the top 10% of her class and earning induction into the Pi Alpha Honor Society.

Valerie spent the first chapter of her career practicing internal medicine in the hospital setting, most recently at Hartford Hospital. She is passionate about preventative care, and using lifestyle changes in conjunction with medicine to promote wellness. 

In her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading cozy novels and drinking as much coffee as possible. She loves to travel with her husband, though they both agree their favorite place is their new home in Simsbury, Connecticut.
